VLT BILLS INTRODUCED IN TEXAS LEGISLATURE

Texas H.O.R.S.E. announced today its enthusiastic support for a constitutional amendment that will authorize video lottery gaming (also referred to as slot machines) at the 13 licensed horse and greyhound racetracks in Texas and provide that the three federally recognized Indian tribes in Texas are not prohibited from operating video lottery machines on their tribal lands. Includes the consignors of three or more yearlings sold at major North American auctions of 2009, with specific emphasis on the Southwest Regional States of Texas and Louisiana Public Auctions. Yearling statistics include results for sales held July 1 through December 31^st.

We are always striving to improve our broodmare band. Through diligent pedigree research of mares offered at Public Auction and calls from private Bloodstock Agents, we have acquired many nice broodmares and broodmare prospects.

The process of mating our Broodmares is sometimes a tedious process. We will hash and rehash for months on our choices of Stallions; taking into consideration such data as: the nicking of a mare’s pedigree to a stallion’s, a Mare’s female family breeding history, A Stallion’s Commercial Rate of Return, Stallion’s Progeny Standings, Physical type of Mare to Stallion and Ease of Marketability to Race Track Trainers or Pinhookers, to name a few.

A large portion of the revenue from the previous year's sales, cycles back to improve our breeding stock for the following year. The mares below represent years of careful selection in upgrading our broodmare band.
